Uganda Premier League table 2025/26: final standings and results

Vipers won the completed 2025/26 season with 67 points, ahead of KCCA on 62 and SC Villa on 61. This archive is separate from the active 2026/27 table.

Uganda Premier League table 2025/26: the final standings

Vipers SC won the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League with 67 points, ahead of KCCA on 62 and SC Villa on 61. This is a completed-season table, not the live 2026/27 standings. All 16 clubs in the final archive have 30 matches recorded.

The table below follows RSSSF's season archive, including its note that Buhimba United Saints received a three-point and three-goal deduction. That adjustment matters: a purely automated calculation from wins and draws will otherwise give Buhimba the wrong points total.

GP means games played; W, D and L mean wins, draws and losses; GF and GA mean goals for and against; GD is goal difference. Points are the credited final total, not an unadjusted estimate.

Archive notes: Buhimba's credited goals and points include the sanction. RSSSF marks Calvary and Buhimba as relegated and identifies Entebbe UPPC as the renamed Gaddafi Modern FC. Its final line repeats an incorrect position number; the order above is numbered sequentially without changing the club statistics.

Why Vipers finished first

Vipers and KCCA each won 19 matches. The difference was not their win count but what happened in the other eleven games. Vipers drew ten and lost one; KCCA drew five and lost six.

That produced five extra points for Vipers: 57 points from wins plus ten from draws, against KCCA's 57 plus five. The champion's ability to avoid defeat explains the final margin more directly than a generic statement about “winning mentality.”

Vipers also finished with the highest goal total among these clubs, 55, and shared the lowest goals-conceded total, 17, with SC Villa. The resulting +38 goal difference was eight better than Villa's and fourteen better than KCCA's.

ClubPoints per matchWin percentageGoals scored per matchGoals conceded per match

SC Villa2.0360.0%1.570.57
Kitara1.8753.3%1.430.73
NEC1.7746.7%1.070.73

These are calculations from the final table, rounded to two decimal places for rates and one for percentages. They describe the completed season; they are not next-match probabilities or proof of how a team created its goals.

The chasing group and the cost of draws

SC Villa finished one point behind KCCA despite conceding five fewer goals and having a better goal difference. Points are the primary table currency: an extra draw does not replace an extra win.

NEC's eleven draws help explain why a team with only five defeats finished fifth. Converting a draw into a win adds two points; turning a draw into a loss costs one. That asymmetry is useful for understanding the table, although it does not prove that a more aggressive tactical approach would actually have improved NEC's results.

URA provides an even clearer example. Sixteen draws meant that more than half its matches ended level. Five wins and sixteen draws yielded 31 points. A low defeat count relative to a club below it does not necessarily mean a strong season if wins are scarce.

Entebbe UPPC finished sixth with 51 points and only 20 goals conceded. The club name should be normalized carefully when combining archives: RSSSF identifies the rename from Gaddafi Modern FC. Treating the two names as unrelated clubs can break historical comparisons or duplicate a team's fixtures.

Relegation and sanctions: read the notes, not just colours

The archive places Calvary on 21 points and Buhimba on 12 below its relegation line. UPDF finished directly above them on 22. This guide reports that archived designation rather than inventing a third relegated club from a generic league template.

Buhimba's arithmetic is particularly instructive. Four wins and three draws ordinarily produce 15 points. The three-point deduction reduces that to 12. Its credited goals-for total also includes a three-goal deduction, so the sum of all clubs' final goal differences is not zero.

That is a data-quality exception, not a reason to silently modify the standings until they balance. A trustworthy table preserves the competition's adjustment and explains it.

When using historical scores for modelling, distinguish a match played on the pitch, a walkover and a later disciplinary amendment. An awarded 3–0 result can count in standings without representing three observed scoring events. Training an attacking model on it as ordinary shot production introduces false information.

Recent champions and season-to-season comparison

The verified RSSSF archives list SC Villa as 2023/24 champion, followed by Vipers in 2024/25 and 2025/26. The champions' raw points totals need context because the seasons did not have identical match counts.

SeasonChampionMatches in final tablePointsPoints per match
2023/24SC Villa29571.97
2024/25Vipers30692.30
2025/26Vipers30672.23

The 2023/24 archive explains that Arua Hill was excluded from the second half for licensing reasons. That is why a straightforward 30-match assumption is inappropriate for that table. A comparison with 2022/23 likewise needs the actual archived competition record, not a points total copied without format context.

KCCA improved from 50 points in 2024/25 to 62 in 2025/26, while NEC moved from 67 to 53. These changes identify useful questions about squad turnover and performance, but the table alone cannot explain injuries, coaching choices or underlying chance quality.

CAF competition participation also depends on current allocation, cup outcomes, licensing and federation decisions. There is no universal “56 points guarantees continental qualification” rule. Check the applicable season's official regulations before assigning Champions League or Confederation Cup places.

Fixtures and results: this season is not still upcoming

Someone searching “Uganda Premier League fixtures today” in November 2026 probably needs the active season, not this final 2025/26 archive. Use an explicit competition and season selector before reading kickoff times.

For the completed season, RSSSF provides round-by-round results, including postponements and awarded matches. UgandaFootball offers separate fixture, result, table and player-statistics pages under its 2025/26 tournament record.

Competition → season → fixture date → match status
├─ Scheduled: check the latest kickoff notice
├─ Live: verify timestamp and elapsed time
├─ Final: use the completed result
└─ Awarded/postponed: read the competition note

For Ugandan venues, organizer times are commonly presented in East Africa Time, UTC+3. A score application may instead convert them to your device's timezone. Read its timezone setting before interpreting a three-hour difference as a postponement.

This guide does not publish a fabricated future fixture list for a completed season. Nor does it label archived scores “live” just because the page is loaded today.

Watching StarTimes Uganda Premier League matches

StarTimes naming in the competition title does not establish that every match is on a particular channel or subscription tier. Consult the league's match-specific notice, the broadcaster's current guide and the clubs' official updates.

A legitimate preview should identify the match, date and transmission details. An old YouTube upload with a “live” title may be a replay, highlights or unrelated footage. Do not enter payment credentials into a third-party page merely because it copies a league badge.

For live score checks, compare the score's update time and match status against another credible source when something looks inconsistent. A feed can show a goal before correcting it after an officiating decision. The final result, not the first push notification, is the appropriate basis for season records.

If your interest is wider domestic football, Masaza Cup's completed 2026 tournament guide covers a separate county competition. Its groups and knockout ties should never be merged into a UPL club table.

How to use standings in a prediction model

Start with rates and context, not position alone. A model can consider recent home and away results, opposition strength, player availability and rest, but each input needs a reliable observation date.

For example, 55 goals across 30 matches gives Vipers a 1.83 season scoring average. That does not mean the next opponent will concede exactly 1.83 goals, and it is not the same as an expected-goals measurement.

Avoid training on a final table when evaluating a prediction supposedly made months earlier. That leaks future information into the test. Use only standings and squad information available before kickoff, then reserve later results for evaluation.

Report uncertainty and calibration rather than claiming a league position creates a “sure win.” A useful model distinguishes the probability of an outcome from whether a bookmaker's price offers value. Betting is optional and carries loss risk; this historical table is not a betting recommendation.
