There are nine possible outcomes (1/1, 1/X, 1/2, X/1, X/X, X/2, 2/1, 2/X, 2/2) with the home team winning at half-time AND full-time (1/1) being the most probable single outcome at roughly 25–35% in home-favoured fixtures. AI models calculate HT/FT probabilities from the Poisson distribution, treating first-half and second-half expected goals as separate but correlated distributions.
